Foot Pain Center

The Foot Pain Center was established in 1974 by
Dr. Marc Spitz.  An all-inclusive practice, the Foot Pain Center offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic medical care for patients with general foot and toenail disorders, diabetic problems and peripheral neuropathy.

Dr. Marc Spitz

Dr. Marc Spitz, Director of the Foot Pain Center, plays an active role in educating the Southern California community about all aspects of peripheral neuropathy.  He presently serves as Facilitator of the Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group in Orange County, California and is a featured speaker at the Chao Cancer Center at University of California at Irvine.  Dr. Spitz addresses foot health issues in local newspaper articles and is currently co-authoring a book on peripheral neuropathy.

Over the past 35 years, Dr. Marc Spitz has seen and treated thousands of patients with foot disorders: everything from ingrown toenails to severe nerve damage.  If you've been searching for help with a particular foot problem, there's a pretty good chance Dr. Spitz can help you too.

Peripheral Neuropathy Care

One of the areas in which Dr. Spitz has a special interest is in the treatment of peripheral neuropathy, a painful condition characterized by burning, tingling, and numbness of the feet and
legs, often accompanied by problems with balance and walking.  While often associated with diabetes (and referred to as "diabetic neuropathy"),
peripheral neuropathy affects some twenty million Americans today.  We've made some of our most popular pain-relieving treatments available
here on our site.

Our dedicated staff understands the needs of peripheral neuropathy patients.  The Foot Pain Center offers a variety of treatments for peripheral neuropathy, including:

• Diagnostic nerve tests.
• Laser therapy.
• Infrared therapy.
• Massage therapy.
• Professional home massage devices.
• Radialwave therapy.

The Foot Pain Center has a full-time massage therapist on staff, along with a licensed orthotic and brace specialist, to meet the needs of patients with walking and balance problems.  We also offer a variety of specialty shoes, proprietary supplements and topical treatments designed to promote the comfort and well-being of our patients.
