About Dr. Marc Spitz

Dr. Marc Spitz received his degree in podiatric medicine in 1973 and completed his residency in Long Beach, California. He established the Foot Pain Center in 1976 in Seal Beach, California. As a podiatric physician he observed epidemic numbers of people developing peripheral neuropathy in the feet. As a result of his findings, he decided to specialize in the field of neuropathy and has been in private practice for over 30 years. Dr. Spitz is the co-author of The Numb Foot Book-a guide to the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral neuropathy. He is a frequent lecturer and has spoken at UCLA and at the University of California at Irvine. Dr. Spitz is the leader of the Neuropathy Support in Orange County, California and is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management.
