National Neuropathy Week February 2005 Event to Run from May 16 to 20 "National Neuropathy Week (May 16-20)," a Neuropathy Association sponsored recognition, is included in the 2005 edition of National Health Observances, the program guide published annually by the National Health Information Center (NHIC). NHIC is a service of the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The 2005 edition is being distributed nationally in print and on the Internet at the National Health Information Center and HealthFinder, the award-winning Federal portal to reliable health information. This achievement will greatly increase awareness of neuropathy and the Neuropathy Association. It is just one more example of the progress they are making in getting attention for this long ignored illness. Hopefully the increased awareness that follows will influence government to increase research spending on neuropathy. |
